On December 22, 2021, Walter B. Parish, age 77, of Highland, MD passed away. He was born on May 30, 1944 to Burton E. Parish and Willa M. Doggett in Washington, DC. Walter was a member of the New Hope Seventh-day Adventist church in Fulton, MD. He was a decorated Vietnam veteran of the United States Army and heroically earned a Bronze Star with Valor and a Purple Heart for his bravery as a combat medic. He was retired from GE Medical as a biomedical engineer. He most enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife, children and grandchildren. He was most proud of his family and especially loved spoiling his grandchildren and making memories with family that will last a lifetime. He also enjoyed traveling both domestically and internationally with his life partner of 53 years and was lucky enough to visit 6 out of 7 continents. He is survived by his wife, Ruth E. Parish, children, Walter D. Parish and Meredith P. Carter, and grandchildren, Mylah, Madalyn, and Jackson. He was proceeded in death by his father, mother, and brother. Visitation will be on December 28, 2021 from 4pm until 7pm at the Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, Clarksville MD 21029. Proceeding interment will be private for immediate family.
