It is with great sadness that we are announcing the unexpected passing of Sudhir Manik Lotlikar on October 12, 2023. He was born in Bombay (Mumbai), India on December 31, 1947 to Manik and Suman Lotlikar.
He received his undergraduate degree at Pune Engineering School in Pune, India. In 1967, Sudhir came to the United States to pursue his Masters in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University. He also attended Wake Forest University, where he received his MBA.
Sudhir’s career spanned over 40 years, where he worked for several companies, including Pulsar Watch, Lionel Train Company, Fisher Price Toys, Leapfrog Toys, Mattel Toys, and SDI Technology. He retired from SDI in 2015.
During retirement, Sudhir enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren: Kieran (13), Scarlet (11), Aaryah (8), and Sabine (7). They were the light of his life, and he brought so much joy and happiness to their young lives. When not spending time with his family, Sudhir enjoyed cooking “excellent” Indian vegetarian food, trying to outperform the stock market, and staying connected with family and friends around the world.
He is survived by his wife Connie, who was his constant companion. She is small-town girl who saw the world with Sudhir, and shared innumerable experiences during their lives together. Sudhir also left behind his two sons, Aaron and Kristopher, their wives, Regine and Tara. He is also survived by his mother Suman, brothers Satish and Sashin, and sister Shama, as well as countless extended family and friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that memorial donations in Sudhir’s name be directed to the MANNA Food Bank.
