(DATE AND TIME)

Ronald Douglas Farley, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son and friend passed away peacefully on Friday February 5, 2021.  He was 74 years old.

He was born to the late William Farley and Evelyn Merkle Farley in Cheverly, Maryland on December 2, 1946.  He attended Archbishop Carroll High School and lived in Maryland for the entirety of his life.  He was married for 50 years to the love of his life, Cristina Farley, who survives him.  He is also survived by his three beloved children; Lisa (Eric), Michele (Tom), and Michael (Melissa), and his nine wonderful grandchildren, Luke, Sophia, Grace, Nicholas, Olivia, Jack, Juliana, Ellia and Luca.

Ron's best trait was his incredible ability to connect with people.  He never met a stranger, and you could often find him talking and laughing with the people around him, whether it be with his longtime friends, the neighbors, the parents on the soccer field, or the produce manager at his favorite grocery store.  He walked into a room with a big smile and sparkle in his eye, ready to tell a favorite story or show his famous magic tricks to his grandchildren.  His big trademark laugh filled any room he was in.  He was an avid Redskins fan who could be heard singing 'Hail to the Redskins' at RFK during football season, and he loved skiing the slopes at Seven Springs.  Ron ran a successful business for many years, but he considered the true measure of his success to be his family and friends.  The joy they brought him was immeasurable.  His strong faith in God allowed him to focus not on material things, but on the promise of everlasting life.

There will be a viewing for immediate family members on Wednesday February 17, 2021 at Donaldson Funeral Home.  A public church service will be held on Friday,  February 19, 2021 at 11am at St. Louis Catholic Church in Clarksville, Maryland, (To view the funeral service live, please visit this website:  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvBxZhVLn4iUdQAR-PJtoUg), immediately followed by a private burial at Gate of Heaven.  Ron's family want to honor and celebrate him in a joyful way that is worthy of his tremendous life, with his cherished family and friends gathered together to enjoy a favorite meal, talk and laugh in true 'RF' fashion.  A Celebration of Life will be planned in the summer, when we can remember a wonderful man for a life well lived.

NOTE: the Mass time has been moved up due to the expected winter storm.
