Otunba Mrs Funmilayo Shodeke Nee Olaleye was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who was called to glory on January 1, 2021. She was born on the 29th day of April, 1948 in Lagos State, Nigeria. She attended Anglican Girls Grammar School, Ijebu-Ode before moving on to Howard University in Washington DC, USA and was a very successful business woman.
Otunba Funmilayo Shodeke lived! She packed so much life in her seventy-two years. She was well traveled, chased her dreams, loved her family with all her heart, was an enterprising business woman, extremely charitable, social, religious and supportive. All these she did with grace, dignity, and integrity. She was a loving, giving and caring humanitarian and that evidence is the deep sorrow and pain in our hearts that we feel from her passing. No one, not a single soul, would want for comfort while she had a say in the matter, and that endeared her to many. You could depend on her. She was a doting mother and grandmother.
Otunba Shodeke's legacy is more than enough for any good life and our appreciation and love for her will never fade.
She is survived by her children and grandchildren.
