MILTON F. BORKOWSKI
On April 18, 2022, Milton (Milt) F. Borkowski, 85, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family, in Ellicott City, Maryland. Born 1937 in Baltimore, Maryland, Milt was the son of the late Milton J. Borkowski and Sophie J. Borkowski (Kropkowski). He was raised in Baltimore and was a 1953 graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. At the age of 16, he entered Loyola College in Baltimore where he graduated in 1957 with a B.S. degree in Mathematics. In addition, Milt completed the MIT-Sloan School Senior Executive Program in 1985. He began his career in 1957 and retired in 1997 from Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Defense and Electronics Group and Northrop Grumman located in Linthicum, Maryland, as Corporate Vice President and Divisions General Manager. He served as a Chairman/Director/Trustee on a number of corporate and not-for-profit organization Boards. Milt was a member of St. Louis Church in Clarksville, Maryland. He was an avid golfer, world traveler, and founding member of Cattail Creek Country Club. Milt was devoted to and immensely proud of his family and felt they were his greatest achievement. He especially enjoyed boating, crabbing, and fishing with his family in Ocean City, Maryland and attending his grandchildren’s sporting and other activities. Milt is survived by the love of his life of 63 years, Janice Borkowski (Eskut), his loving children Tracey Callens (Bob), David Borkowski (Adrienne), James Borkowski (Lynne), Valerie Bimstefer (Jim), and Christine Callahan (Steve). He was preceded in death by his loving son Michael Borkowski. Milt (affectionately referred to as Pop) is also survived by his 16 grandchildren Kristen (Donnie), Kate (Weston), Meredith (Giuseppe), Weston, Morgan, Matthew, Grant, Daniel, Garrett, Michael, Ryan, Anna, Brett, Christopher, Carleigh, and Brady and great-grandchildren Afton, Emily, Michael, and Grayson. He is also lovingly remembered and survived by his sisters Catherine Bailey and Barbara Gunther (Frank), brother-in-law Wayne Eskut, sisters-in-law Betty Sardella (Jerry) and Ginger Guerassio (Gary), and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church, 12500 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029 on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 11:30am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to My Brother’s Keeper in Baltimore, Maryland or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
