On 11 August, 2021, Mary Lou (Fall) Wallace, age 91 of Marietta, Georgia passed away at her son Michael's home in Columbia, MD with family.
Mary Lou is survived by her sister Suzanne E. Fall, her sons Michael E. Wallace and girlfriend Merrenda Markham; Steven T. Wallace and his wife Martha. Mary Lou is loving grandmother of her ten grandchildren; Andrew M. Wallace, Todd T. Wallace, Matthew C. Wallace, Dane W. Wallace, Emily A. Wallace, Davis M. Wallace, Grace F. Wallace, Joseph P. Wallace, Luke T. Wallace, and Mary Katherine Wallace.
Mary Lou was born in Canton Ohio on May 14, 1930, the daughter of late Frank and Frances Fall. She grew up in Canton with her loving sister Sue. She graduated from Middlebranch High school. After graduating, she took great pride working for Lattavo Brothers Trucking Company as their office manager in Canton. In 1960, while on a business flight to Florida, she met Eugene (NMN) Wallace while he was working for Eastern Airlines. They were married in September of that year and started their life together in Hialeah, FL and were best friends for 47 years until his death in 2007. Mary Lou lived most of her adult life in Marietta, Georgia where she raised her sons, before moving into an independent living facility in Roswell, GA. In her final year, she moved to Columbia, MD to live with her son Michael and Merrenda.
Mary Lou had a great love for life. She enjoyed playing the organ, sewing, making quilts, baking and bingo with good friends. Mary Lou was very spiritual and was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She loved being around her grandchildren with whom she created many everlasting memories. Her greatest joys were her family and many friends whom she treasured.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, 20 August, 2021 at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Marietta, GA. For those folks unable to attend, you may view the Mass via livestream by following the parish website
