Mary Patricia “Pat” Ferensic, 81, of Clarksville, Maryland passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Thursday November 16, 2023. She was born in 1942 to Richard Williams and Helen Williams in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her children Greg, Denise, Diane, and Cheryl; grandchildren Vince, Nick, Paul, Gaby, David, Jackie, Jeremy, Grace, Bradley, and Christian; and sisters Linda and Cathy. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, parents Richard and Helen, and brothers Joe, Rick, Dave, and Matt.
Pat was a daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, and friend. An educated and trained registered nurse, she spent the majority of her career as head nurse of the Holy Cross Hospital emergency room in Silver Spring, Maryland. A long time, active member of St. Louis Church, Pat was very involved and served multi-year terms as president of the church garden club. She was a bible study member, a religious retreat participant, confirmation sponsor to multiple grandchildren, and for many years worked as a volunteer in the church office on a weekly basis. An avid reader, she was involved in a book club outside of church. She enjoyed multiple handcrafting activities such as sewing, cross-stitch, painting, and flower arranging just to name a few. Afflicted with severe arthritis her physical activity of choice was water aerobics. She had a true passion for gardening and became a certified master gardener. She created beauty wherever she went.
