First and foremost, Lois loved her family!
Having been blessed with four children, nine grandchildren, and two great-grand-girls, she loved nothing more than spending time surrounded by any and all of them, and she was always in the middle of the action! She showed her love by being truly present in their lives – graduations of all kinds, birthdays, weddings – she was there! This included a 2020 family beach trip where she flowed easily from reading books to the youngest to schooling each and every one present as she displayed her skills at the pool table! Luckily for us, there was no money involved!!
Over the years, she found joy in chronicling these family adventures in scrapbooks that were as entertaining as they were beautiful! As technology advanced with cell phone cameras, we could all rely on her “Send me some pictures!” plea even before the event had concluded. We have volumes of photos to cherish, and if a picture truly speaks a thousand words, just imagine how big her love for us all must have been!
The constraints of the pandemic that surrounds us all may have kept her closer to home, but that never stopped Lois from thinking of her friends and “other families” at The Pearl Spa where she had worked for many years, and her pool-playing buddies who she missed dearly. She had the ability to hold so many friends in her heart, and we know that they felt the same way about her.
Her final scrapbook reflects the recent holidays even as she fought the effects of an aggressive case of ALS that challenged her at every turn. At the end, she was surrounded by the family and friends that loved her so much.
She is survived by her 4 children: John Earp III (Beverley Alexander), Travis Earp, Kristi Ahlquist (David Ahlquist), & Kimberly Stull (Newton Stull), 9 grandchildren: Erin, Kyle, Megan, Samantha, Jake, Hannah, Reagan, Riley, & Avery, and 2 Great-granddaughters: Adelle & Kennedy.
