While in Edmonds she continued a 30 year career as a well loved teacher at St. Alphonsus, St. Luke’s, and Holy Rosary Catholic schools. She was renowned for her kind words and sincere gentleness, that was often remembered by students who would run into her in town years later. She loved her friends and had a deep love for animals. She also loved her town of Edmonds.  She was preceded in death by her husband Walt, and her brother Dale.  She will be missed dearly by her daughter, Jill, son, Patrick and his wife Sandy, as well as her five grandchildren.
