Julia Ju-Chuan Weng, a resident of Fulton, Maryland, passed away on August 27, 2023. She was 68 years old.
She was born in 1955 in Taipei, Taiwan, the oldest of four children born to the late Hsu Tsung Chin and Cheng Yu Yeh. After graduating from Taipei First Girls’ High School, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature at National Taiwan University. She moved to the United States in 1978, first to Indiana, then to Texas, where she and her husband raised their two daughters.
Julia received her Master in Professional Accounting degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991 and practiced as a Certified Public Accountant. She retired from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts in 2017.
Julia was a member of Grace Community Church in Fulton, Maryland. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her loving husband, Kenneth Weng, with whom she was married for 45 years, and visiting her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed the arts, music, and cooking.
In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by her brother Hsu Yen Ming, who passed away in 2002.
She is survived by her husband, her sister Hsu Ju Tsui and brother Emory Hsu, her daughters Deborah DeCamps (Christopher) and Sarah Bierschbach (Justin), and grandchildren Catherine DeCamps, Annelise DeCamps, and Everett Bierschbach.
A private service will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029.
