On Friday, August 21, 2020, Ellese Victoria du Clos, loving daughter, sister, and mother of two children, passed away at age 26.
Ellese was born on May 24, 1994 in Columbia Maryland to John and Wanda du Clos. She went to Jeffers Hill Elementary School, Murray Hill and Ellicott Mills Middle Schools and Centennial High School in Howard County, Maryland
Growing up, Ellese was very active; she practiced karate, joined the swim team, played the piano, soccer, and lacrosse. From a young age, she was a thrill seeker. Ellese loved going on roller coasters; her all time favorite ride was The Tower of Terror in Disney World.
As a high school student, she participated in many activities, including dance, soccer and lacrosse. She was extremely intelligent and loved to learn about the sciences, such as chemistry and anatomy.
Ellese studied science at Howard and Catonsville community colleges. While attending school, she worked in the service industry as a hostess, waitress and bartender. For a period of time she helped her father with his small business as an administrator and software tester.
In 2014, Ellese started her fitness journey and attended Tae Bo classes at Supreme Sports Club. She then became certified as a Tae Bo instructor, alongside her mother. In 2019, Ellese found her love for real estate and became a realtor. Her favorite part of being a real estate agent was baking cookies and making hors d’oeuvres for open houses.
Ellese loved to watch movies, beauty tutorials, as well as play video games that were popular in the 1990s, like Sega and Nintendo. A few game favorites were Harry Potter (specifically, The Goblet of Fire), Zelda, Mario Party, Monkey Ball and Mario Kart.
Ellese had a love for nature and the ocean. As a little girl, she would swim in the ocean for hours and it was difficult to get her to leave-- she was always the first one into the water and the last one out. In 2009, she received her scuba certification and did her first open water dive in Key Largo, FL.
Ellese enjoyed baking and trying new foods. Her favorite cookies to bake were the chocolate chip treasure cookies-- yum! She was known to like the finer things in life-- since she was 6 years old, you could always count on her to order the Surf and Turf. Ellese was genuine in her character-- there was nothing fake about her.
She was a loving and caring mother who cherished her two children, Sophia and Matthew. Their favorite memories together were going camping, playing outdoors, and going to SkyZone.
Ellese is survived by her loving parents, John and Wanda; her siblings, Isabel and Dominic; her beloved children, Sophia and Matthew and many loving, cousins, relatives and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held from at the Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.
