On July 20, 2024, Donald “Don” Spicer of Elkridge passed away peacefully at his home with his wife of 34 years by his side. He was born on February 20, 1941 the son of the late William Randolph Spicer and Mary Virginia Harmon Spicer, in Bastian, VA.
He truly enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, and going to classic car shows and Nascar races. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, and sharing his wonderful memories and life lessons of hard work and fun on the farm where he grew up in Ellicott City, Maryland. His family was the light of his life and his kindness, gentleness, and love will be with us forever.
He is survived by his wife Sharon “Marie”, his stepdaughter Tina Marie Hyatt (Jason Boone), Stepson Sean Patrick Morgan (Heather Anne), grandchildren Trever James Hyatt (Elise Joyce), Breanna Nicole Hope Hyatt, Indigo Cheyanne Morgan, Landyn Patrick Morgan, step-granddaughter Bridget Boone, Sister-In-Law Marcy Kane, Sister-In-Law Linda Teodosio (Fred), Sister-In-Law Phyllis Spicer, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by father, William Randolph Spicer, mother, Mary Virginia Harmon Spicer, and his beloved brother, William “Lou” Louis Spicer.
There will be a Celebration of Life on August 4, 2024 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Kelsey’s Restaurant, located at 8480 Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21043.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Research Hospital or The National Kidney Foundation .
