Cynthia "Cyndi-Boo" Holt

Cynthia B. Brooks-Holt, 47, departed this life peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, March 18, 2023 with her husband and son by her side.

Cyndi was born in Tampa, Fla. on October 8,1975 to Stanley Benjamin and Janice Lee Hubbard-Brooks. She has two sisters, the oldest Katrina Brooks and youngest Tramyra Brooks. Cyndi attended and graduated from National Christian Academy in Ft. Washington, Md. On August 10,1996. Cyndi married the love of her life Joseph Holt (Big Joe - who she met in 1994 while playing on the phone with her best friend Erica McLeod lol) and through that union their one and only son Joseph Holt, II (Lil Joe) was born. Cyndi attended one year of college at Prince George’s Community College until she changed her career path and decided to become a licensed cosmetologist, graduating from Graham-Webb International Academy of Hair in 2000. 

Cyndi is predeceased by Stanley Brooks (Father), Janice Hubbard-Brooks (Mother), and Charles Holt (father-in-law).

Cyndi is survived by her husband Joseph L. Holt aka Big Joe of 26 years and son Joseph L. Holt, II aka Lil Joe, her two sisters Katrina Brooks and Tramyra Lucas (Damien Lucas), her mother-in-law Rowena Reid (James Reid, Jr.), one  aunt Mary Lister Battle (William Battle- deceased), two uncles Paul Brooks (Clara Brooks) and James Hall (Imogene Hall – deceased) and a host of god-children, nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends who will miss her tremendously.

More than anything, Cyndi was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, friend and a virtuous woman of God who loved Jesus Christ and spending valuable time with family and friends. She also immensely enjoyed interior design, hair, fashion and hip-hop! If you knew her, then you knew that her family was her heart and when you saw one, you would normally see all three or at least her and her son who rarely left his Momma’s side all the way until the end of her reign.

Cyndi touched the lives of people from all walks of life…she was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by so many.

A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 2pm to 5pm at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A. (12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029).
