Betty Albanesi, 71, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2021.
Betty graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington, DC and then in 1972 she graduated from the American Society of Radiology and the American Society of Radiological Technicians from the Washington Hospital center as a Registered Technologist, X-Ray technician. She worked for Doctors Warren, Michado, and McClaine for 43 years as their X-Ray Technician and nurse. Betty was very active at Saint Mary of the Mills Catholic Church. She gave countless hours as a volunteer with the Ladies of Charity and various other religious and social organizations. Betty enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren. She loved life and helping people. Traveling, gardening, and spending time at the beach delighted her.
Betty is survived by her husband of 50 years, Joseph Albanesi. she is also survived by her son Joseph Nicholas Albanesi, his wife Natalie, and their children Bella Rose and Tyler Anthony; her brother Victor George and sister Brenda Farr as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Ada Lois George and Nickolas George of Washington, DC.
A visitation will be held at Saint Mary of the Mills Catholic Church, 114 St Marys Place, Laurel MD on February 24 from 10:30 until 12:00 noon. A Funeral Mass will start at 12:00 noon with interment to follow at the adjoining cemetery.
