William "Bill" R. Harris

William (Bill) Randolph Harris, 82 of Highland, MD, passed away on October 16, 2023.  He was born to Fitzhugh Harris and Nellie Hunt Harris on September 15, 1941. He had 13 brothers and sisters. He married Christine Harris 56 years ago with whom he raised 2 children, Mary and Carolyn.

Bill served in the U.S. Army and had successful careers in private industry and as Director, Division of Accounting for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. He was an extremely giving and loving person who worked tirelessly to always lend support to friends, family, and others in need. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Christine; daughter Mary and her husband, Chris; and daughter Carolyn. Bill adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Grandchildren: Brittany Yancey and her husband Sean Rothe, Mia Yancey, and Gavin Yancey.

Great Grandchildren: Camden Rothe, Oakley Klinger, and Isley Dittman.

Bill was preceded in death by Grandson-in-law Joseph Klinger and great Grandson, Cavan Rothe.

Bill will be missed more than words can express.
