Willa Jean Tranchitella

Willa Jean Tranchitella, 87, of Clarksville, MD passed away peacefully at her home on June 25, 2023. She was born on January 12, 1936 to George Dave and Esta Mae Vanatta in Phillipsburg, Ohio.  Willa was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Clarksville where she was very active for 60 years and was also involved with the 4H and the National Dahlia Society.  Willa was passionate about her Dahlia growing, tending to her home and gardens and her family. She retired with 27 years as a school nurse from Clarksville Elementary School.

Willa is survived by her son; Christopher (Teresa) Tranchitella, her daughters; Kimberlyn (Patrick) Madden, Karen (Joseph) Tasto, and Lynda (Andrew) Turner, her brother David (Darlene) Vanatta, eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her spouse Nicola of 60 years, her daughter Janine Fields, as well as one sister and six brothers.

Visitation will be held at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, P.A., Clarksville,  MD 21029 on Thursday, June 29 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church on Friday, June 30 at noon with interment to follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
