Vincent Joseph Cibelli

On May 18th, Vincent Joseph Cibelli, originally of Dayton, MD, passed away at 39 from an overdose of heroin and fentanyl. A smart, witty, and compassionate life taken away far too soon.

He was born in 1983 to the late Gennaro and Elaine Cibelli and is survived by his brothers Rev. Ernest Cibelli and Mr. Peter Cibelli and sister-in-law Mrs. Sarah Cibelli and their children.

Vincent struggled with addiction since he was a teenager and, while he had five impactful years sober, he could not shake free of his addiction. He leaves behind a broken-hearted family, friends, and dogs.

Vincent was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, uncle and friend. An artist at heart, he loved poetry, photography, painting, and music. He cared deeply for animals including his two dogs Argos and Portia. Sarcastic and deadpan, his sense of humor was unrivaled. Vincent will be so dearly missed but we take hope in God’s mercy and pray for the repose of his soul.

If you are struggling with addiction, please ask for help. Let Vincent’s story be your reason to get sober and save your life. If his obituary can help just one person, good will come out of Vincent’s death and will be a fitting tribute to someone who always tried to help others.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm at the Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, Maryland 21029.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 25, at 5:00 pm at St. Louis Church 12500 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, Maryland 21029.

Burial to follow at St. Louis Cemetery (please carpool).

Reception after the burial at St. Louis Parish Social Hall.
