Thomas J. McKeever, Jr., 75 passed away in West Friendship, MD on November 23, 2024. Tom was born on August 11, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA to Thomas and Clarita McKeever. He was the first of their thirteen children.
Tom was a graduate of Roman Catholic High School, earned his Bachelor’s Degree from St. Joseph’s University and his Law Degree from Villanova University. Tom worked for the Department of Veteran’s Administration’s legal department throughout his thirty-seven-year career, earning him numerous awards and recognition. Not long after graduating law school, Tom accepted a position in the Washington, DC office and moved south to Virginia. He eventually found his way to Maryland where he built a beautiful life with his wife of thirty-five years, Christine Marino McKeever.
Tom was a life-long boy scout in various roles ranging from scout, scout master, to council executive board member. Throughout his tenor, he was honored with the Silver Beaver and Silver Antelope awards. Tom was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, the Elks Lodge and St. Louis Parish.
Tom and Chris hosted many fourth of July barbecues for family enjoyment. They also both shared a love of baseball, especially the Philadelphia Phillies, New York Yankees, and the Baltimore Orioles. Tom and Chris enjoyed spending time at their vacation home in North Wildwood, NJ. Tom especially enjoyed long days on the beach. And when not at the beach, they enjoyed traveling, especially the annual ski trip to Colorado.
Tom was pre-deceased by his parents, Thomas and Clarita McKeever, his wife Christine Marino McKeever, brothers John, Mark and Brian McKeever and sister Helene Miksitz. He is survived by brothers Michael and Paul McKeever (Sue), and sisters Clarita McKeever Haney (Bob), Jane Gramlich (Bill), Maryanne Craven (Lester), Celeste Caruso, Patty Toal (Tom) and Colleen McKeever and numerous nieces and nephews and several God Children.
Relatives and friends may call at Donaldson Funeral Home, 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 5 to 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Louis Parish Church on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 10am with internment immediately following at St. Louis Cemetery. There will be a reception after the burial at St. Louis Parish Hall for friends and family.
