Su Sie Pok Sil Kim

On December 23, 2019, Su Sie Pok Sil Kim age 71 of Laurel, MD. passed away.

She was born in 1948 to Yi Namdu and Park Bokyea.

Su Sie was a firm believer of Jesus Christ and attended a few of the local Korean Presbyterian and Baptist churches during her time in Maryland.

She retired as a business owner (self-employed) and enjoyed traveling throughout the US with her former husband in her retirement.  Su Sie also enjoyed serving in the church and always participated in choir.  With a love for cooking for the family, she ensured that no one was ever hungry.  Su Sie had a tender love for her grandchildren and loved watching them grow.

In her later years, Su Sie was considered “strong, courageous, and resilient” by her current husband as she dealt with many ailments that caused her to struggle with quality of life issues.  Yet, she managed to continue to enjoy life with the dedicated companionship of her current husband by her side.

Su Sie is survived by her current husband (John Kim), her son (Joseph Kim), daughter-in-law (Lorna), and grandchildren (Mae, Timothy, and Naomi), her younger brother and sisters (Chae Chol Yi, Pu Cha Pope and Chong David).

Su Sie Pok Sil Kim is preceded in death by her first husband, Tu Hyon Kim.

Viewing and Funeral will be held on January 3, 2020 at the Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, Clarksville, MD 21029.
