Sharon Ann Lewis

Sharon Ann Lewis (née Shealey) passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Born November 15, 1942, in Baltimore, Maryland, she is survived by her son Robert, his wife Sheri, and their children Gabrielle and Shelby and her son Andrew, his wife Tammy, and their children David, Mackenzie, and Madeleine. She was preceded in death by her brother Joe, her sister Karolyne, and her husband Robert.

Her life began in Dundalk, Maryland, the youngest child of Asa and Mildred Shealey, with her siblings Karolyne, Darlene, and Joe. Her family expanded to include many nieces and nephews early in life which created a tightly bonded family unit. Her family was extended to include lifelong friendships that she fostered until the day she died. All of which became a bedrock of stability for her sons whom she adored and cherished.

Sherry spent her career in public service to include working at Fort Holabird in Dundalk, the Social Security Administration, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services near their family home in Catonsville.

She and her husband Bob were devoted Catholics and members of the Secular Franciscan Order. After retiring from public service, her will to serve never wavered, and she was employed by The Companions of St. Anthony based in Ellicott City at the Shrine of St. Anthony.

Her life was full of faith, hope, and love for those close to her. She will be sorely missed as a mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend.
