Robert William “Bill” Wilson, III, born March 28, 1943, in Baltimore, MD, passed away on April 17, 2026 from health complications. Bill was the son of Robert William Wilson, Jr. and Catharine Agnes (Woods) Wilson Kasemeyer. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda J. (Rollman) Wilson; his children, his daughters, Lauren E. Lacey and Bethany W. Manos, his sons-in-law, Vincent P. Lacey and Andrew Manos, and his treasured grandchildren, Wilson, Greta, Charlotte and Cate. He was preceded in death by his dear sister, Kathy (Wilson) Ricker Culotta.
Bill attended St. Agnes Catholic School and Mount St. Joseph High School, Class of 1961. He was a proud Golden Gael and his childhood stories with his lifelong friends could fill the MSJ tower! Bill earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Towson State University. He began his career at Hertz Penske Trucking. Bill was an early entrepreneur, starting and building Transportation Management Corporation until his retirement.
Bill enjoyed many decades living in Hilton Head Island, SC and Columbia, MD, where he was most often seen cheering on his grandchildren from the sidelines and at their school events. He never missed a moment to celebrate them or to build memories with his family and friends, often sharing meals at his favorite restaurants with an ice-cold Coca-Cola in hand. Known for his welcoming manner and the gift of sharing a story, he will be remembered for his devotion to his family and friends.
A funeral mass to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 1:00pm at the Church of the Resurrection, 3175 Paulskirk Drive, Ellicott City, MD 21042. Please do not send flowers.
