Robert Hermann Gallasch, aged 76, passed away on March 11 2025. He was a beloved father, husband, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Robert was born on February 15, 1949 in Newark, NJ. He spent his formative years in Plainfield, NJ. He attended St. Bernard’s Elementary, Seton Hall Prep and Plainfield High School. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the US Air Force and served for 4 years, including one year in Viet Nam. Upon his return he attended the University of Maryland where he received his BS degree. He worked for AM Briggs Meat Co as GM for over 28 years. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for his job.
Robert loved the sunshine, the ocean, Becks beer, grilling out and loud, preferably live version, classic rock music. He was a prolific air guitar player, drums at times and had a broad and eclectic playlist of favorites including the Kinks, Rolling Stones, ACDC, Springsteen, Little Feat and Peter Frampton.
But more than anything, Robert was a devoted father, husband and friend. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen, and his children, Jennifer and husband Billy Marlow, and Timothy as well as sister Linda Wren (Danny) and brother Thomas Gallasch (Maureen) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Paul John Gallasch and his parents, Hermann and Jean Gallasch. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, March 17th, 2025 from 4:00 pm- 7:00 pm at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21020.
