In Loving Memory of Rico Paul Alimon Tabligan July 3, 1978 – June 29, 2025
Rico Paul Alimon Tabligan passed away on June 29, 2025, just days before his 47th birthday. Born in the Philippines to Adriano and Zenaida Tabligan, he was the youngest of five children. In 1993, he immigrated to the United States, where he later graduated from Laurel High School and finished an Associate’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology at Howard Community College.
Rico was a devoted husband to Sheila and a loving father to Layla and his fur kid, Yogi. Rico touched the lives of many people including strangers he met, as he had the gift of gab and wit. His standard joke at grocery counters would be “I heard it’s buy one get one off today”, and this easily put a smile on people’s faces. He can easily win a friend in just a few minutes with his warmth, charm and friendly personality.
Rico dedicated over seven years to Tower Federal Credit Union, leaving behind a remarkable legacy through his unwavering character, exceptional work ethic, and the kindness he showed to all. During his time at Tower, he earned multiple promotions and was consistently recognized as one of the department’s most valuable employees. A proud recipient of numerous Tower Tributes, Rico’s greatest achievement was the deep love and respect he earned from his colleagues. He wasn’t just respected—he was truly beloved.
Outside of work, Rico was a man of many passions. He was an accomplished bodybuilder, earning medals in competitions, and a skilled photographer who captured life’s most meaningful moments. He loved spending time outdoors hiking with family and friends, and always had the best shots. Rico is an avid sports fan—devoted to the Baltimore Ravens and especially to quarterback Lamar Jackson, whose talent and spirit he deeply admired. He will be greatly missed by his Ravens text buddies, who shared in every season, every game, and every victory with him.
Rico’s life was a testament to faith, dedication, and love. His memory lives on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. We celebrate the bright light that was Rico! He showed us how to have a lust for life every single day.
Eternal rest grant unto Rico, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him, may he rest in peace. Amen.
