Richard Lee Gezelle Sr.

On Sunday, November 29, 2020 Richard Lee Gezelle Sr. (79) of Sykesville, MD passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

Born to the late Albert J. and Julia J. (Patrak) Gezelle in Washington, D.C.; husband of Margaret Gezelle and father of their three sons, Richard Jr. and his wife Marybeth, Michael and his wife Lauria, Adam and his wife Laurie; and the grandfather of Richard III, Jeanine, Luke, Aiden, Ava, Blake, Reed and Trent.  He is also survived by his brother John Gezelle and sister Julia Tinnell.

Richard loved spending time with his beloved family as well as friends from the Glenwood Fitness Center.  He retired from the U.S. Bureau of Engraving in 2010 and was a devoted fan of all Washington's sports teams.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Louis Catholic Church, Clarksville, MD on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 10:00 AM

Private internment to follow at Gates of Heaven, Silver Spring, MD.
