Rebecca "Becky" Beaver

Rebecca Anne (Becky) Beaver passed away at the age of 79 at her home in Laurel, Maryland on July 21, 2024 with her immediate family by her side. Rebecca and her husband Russell Edward (Buddy) Beaver lived in Laurel, Maryland since 1976 and recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on June 8, 2024.

She is survived by her devoted husband Russell and their two children: Richard Beaver and Diane Keller (David), their three grandchildren: Ashleigh Athen (Andrew), Parker Phillips and Carson Keller, and three great grandchildren:  Tucker (5 1/2), James (3), and Bryce (1 1/2). She is also survived by her four younger sisters: Nancy McCleary, Phyllis Snyder (Jerry), Regina Beckert, and Rosemary Henley (Gene), along with several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, cousins and many friends and neighbors.

Rebecca was a loving wife, an amazing mother, a proud and devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, caring sister and dear friend.  She loved gardening, reading, traveling, going to the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.  She retired from Lockheed Martin in 2005 and became a Master Gardener where she worked for Behnke Nurseries until their closing in 2019.

Rebecca was loved by all who knew her. As the matriarch of her family, she will be forever missed and always in our hearts. As a dear friend to many, she leaves behind memories to be cherished for a lifetime.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, Maryland 21029. Funeral services will take place at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, Maryland 21029 on Tuesday, July 30, 2024  at 11:00 am followed by a burial service at the Saint Mary of the Mills Cemetery, 114 St. Mary’s Place, Laurel, Maryland 20707.
