Patricia Dixon

Patricia Eileen Dixon, age 80, of Glenwood, MD, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026.

Born on March 26, 1945 in Washington, DC, Patricia was the beloved daughter of Robert T Jones and Myrtle Jones. She built a life defined by love. She loved her family with her whole heart, and her family loved her just as deeply. In the end, that is what mattered most to her and that is what will carry everyone forward.

Patricia devoted her life to her family, and also to the life of the mind. She earned her PhD in Philosophy from American University, taught honors philosophy, and authored Sailing a Deeper Night.

Patricia is survived by Husband Richard Edward Dixon; Children Richard Edward Dixon, Jr. (wife Lisa Dixon), Dolores Eileen Gebhardt (husband Chad Alan Gebhardt); Grandchildren Grant Thomas Gebhardt, Brooke Eileen Gebhardt; Richard Edward Dixon III, Braydon Lee Dixon, and Colby Blaine Dixon (mother Faith Dixon); Siblings Bobby Jones (wife Vicki Jones) and Jean Carol Jones. Patricia was preceded in death by her sister Bette Ann Sarvay.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029 from 6:00pm- 8:00pm. A Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 11:00am at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029. 

Patricia’s love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
