Patricia (Patty) Jane Barbino, 72 of Ashton, MD passed away peacefully on December 23, 2023.
Born in 1951 to Salvatore and Mary Carullo in Mineola, NY, Patty had an infinite love for her family and faith. She dedicated her life to serving God and others.
In June of 1972, she married her husband Michael (Mike) whose family lived down the block from her in Mineola. Soon after their wedding, the Air Force stationed Mike and Patty to Nebraska and thereafter to Turkey and Virginia. Finally, Mike and Patty settled in Charles County, Maryland, where they raised their three children, Michael, Mark and Jennifer.
She spent most of her life as a homemaker caring for her husband, children and later grandchildren. She was an avid baker and phenomenal cook. She most recently enjoyed time with her grandchildren baking cookies, finding the best fishing spot, attending games or working on school projects with them. She cared so deeply for her husband through her last days serving him day and night through his illness.
She was devoted to her faith and regularly attended mass at St. Joseph’s in Pomfret before moving to Ashton. She had a strong belief in giving to charities and took great pride in sharing her blessings with the less fortunate. For anyone that was lucky enough to know her closely, she was a wonderful example of what personal sacrifice really means, always putting the needs and feelings of others before her own.
Patty is survived by her husband, a very clean kitchen, three children and spouses, Michael (Tina), Jennifer (Blaise), Mark(Nikki) and five grandchildren, Isabella and Braeden Barbino, Landon, Sofia and Locke Moreland; her sisters Mary Ann (Gene) Kruse, Rosemarie (Robert) Sommer, brothers Michael (Phyllis) Carullo and Salvatore (Marie) Carullo; brother in law Steve (Jane) Barbino; and a loving host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents Salvatore and Mary Carullo.
