On October 5, 2021, Nancy L. Pearre, age 67, of Highland passed away. She was born in Baltimore in 1953 to John A. Slade and Jacqueline L. Slade, nee Chase. Nancy was a member of St. Marks Episcopal Church, Highland; University of Kentucky Alumni Association; and Trail Riders of Tomorrow; and was a volunteer at Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue in Mt. Airy, Maryland.
Nancy was a Food Scientist and held research positions at McCormick Spice, Co; Jos. E. Seagrams and Sons; and Pepsico. She managed the Food Kitchen at Giant Food and most recently worked as a hostess at Hudson Coastal restaurant in Maple Lawn, and a produce specialist at Food Lion in Scaggsville. She enjoyed Equestrian sports, snow skiing, and watching and caring for wildlife and plants of all types.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Robert H. Pearre, Jr; two sons, Alex R. Pearre, and James S. Pearre; and two sisters, Mary E. Forslund of Yorba Linda, California, and Margaret A. Schleiker of Nantua, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her father, John A. Slade and her mother, Jacqueline L. Slade.

Friends and Relatives may visit Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029, on Tuesday October 12 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Marks Episcopal Church, 12700 Hall Shop Rd, Highland, MD 20777, on Wednesday October 13 at 1:00pm. Interment will be held at Druid Ridge Cemetery, 7900 Park Heights Ave, Baltimore, MD 21208, on Thursday October 14 at 11:00am.
