On February 10, 2018 Michael J. Berzonsky died peacefully in his sleep at Encore Assisted Living. Michael was born on May 22, 1933 in Bakerton, PA. He served in the Navy as a Seaman First Class from 1951-1955 before marrying the love of his life, Ruth Skirsky, on June 18, 1955. After graduating with a BS in Accounting, from St. Francis College in Loretto, PA in 1959, he worked for the Federal Government at NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD as a Financial/Resources Manager for 30 years, before retiring in 1990. He was also a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus in Fairfield, PA. Michael is survived by wife, Ruth Berzonsky (nee Skirsky), his children, Michele Cook (Billy), William Berzonsky (Suzanne O’Dell), Sherri Slattery (Joseph), Lisa Kelleher (William) and daughter in law Theresa Berzonsky (nee Dangel), wife of the late Robert Berzonsky, grandchildren Leslie Cook-Day, Colin Cook, Kristen Berzonsky Ricci (Fred), Joseph Slattery (Natalie Vidmar), Julia Berzonsky, Sean Slattery, Connor Cook, Emily Berzonsky, Ryan Slattery, Michael Slattery, Jennifer Kelleher, Kate Berzonsky, Meaghan Slattery, Christopher Kelleher, & Monica Slattery. He is the Great-grandfather of Neil Slattery & Fiona Slattery. Family and friends may call at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., on Thursday, Feb. 15th. from 1:00 to 3:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, Feb. 16th at 10:00 am at St. Louis Catholic Church in Clarksville, Interment following at St. Louis Cemetery.
