Michael Alan Mitchell

d. January 5, 2022

Beaufort, South Carolina

Michael Alan Mitchell passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in Sterling, VA. due to complications from Covid-19.

Michael was born in 1972 to Bill and Marina Mitchell, in the month of June. Michael always said, “you don’t die with material things you die with memories” and he sure did make memories. Michael was always the life of the party and could put a smile on your face. He loved to just laugh with people and talk. He never cared about what you had he only cared about who you were. He was such a care free man because he knew no one made it out alive, he always gave his two girls Lexi and Carly the best advice.  They were the world to him.

He retired from King GMC Buick, in Rockville, MD in June of 2019.  Michael moved to Beaufort, SC to live out his retirement dreams of being at the beach. He spent most of his time walking on the beach, playing poker with the guys and hanging out at the cigar shop. In 2021 he returned as a consultant to King GMC Buick, traveling between South Carolina and Maryland.  He loved the people he worked with at King very much and always enjoyed spending time with them in and out of work.

Michael loved the Dallas Cowboys, cooking all types of food, spending time with his animals and turning into a southerner. But most of all he loved being with his girls.  He was so proud of his big family of girls.

Michael is survived by his children Alexis Michelle Mitchell, Caroline Marie Mitchell, his mother Marina Mitchell, his father Bill Mitchell, his sisters Lisa Mitchell (Barry), Susan Santos (Roney), Keeley Mitchell, and his life partner Christina Bartholomew and his stepchildren, Samantha and Kaylee.
