Matthew J. Mikula

Matthew J. Mikula, age 82 of Olney, Maryland died Thursday, February 8, 2024. He was born October 4, 1941 in Uniontown, PA, the son of the late Matthew and Helen Bealko Mikula. Matthew was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and a 36 year employee of the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed playing golf and fishing, and was happiest when relaxing with family and watching the Terps, Orioles, Commanders or Ravens on television.

Matthew is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Marie Burns Mikula; son, Michael (Megan) Mikula of Laytonsville, MD; daughter, Amy (Trevor) Marshall of Towson, MD; grandchildren Jack and Eleanor Mikula and Helen Marshall; sisters, Carol Sikora of Uniontown, PA; and Jacqueline (Thomas) Verney of Mechanicsburg, PA; sister-in-law, Gloria Jean Mikula, of North Huntingdon, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Strcula, and brothers, James Mikula and Thomas Mikula.

Family and friends will be received at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A. 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029 on Thursday, February 15th from 5-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6701 Muncaster Mill Rd, Derwood, MD 20855, on Friday, February 16th at 11 am. Burial will be held at All Souls Cemetery, 11401 Brink Rd, Germantown, MD 20876.
