Mary "Mimi" (Lacey) Theisen

Mary "Mimi" Theisen, age 60, of Clarksville, MD, passed away unexpectedly on January 19, 2020. Mimi was born on August 2, 1959 to William and Mary Lacey in Washington, D.C. She graduated from Saint Camillus Academy, High Point High School, and continued on to receive her Bachelors in Entomology from the University of Maryland.

Mimi was married to Paul Theisen on March 18, 1989; they were married 30 years.

Mimi retired from USDA Agricultural Research Service in Greenbelt, MD where she was an Entomologist. In addition to her passion for insects, she enjoyed being a soccer mom, and was a lifelong Redskins fan.

Mimi is survived by her husband, Paul; 3 children, Erika, Anna, and Ian; siblings, Billy Lacey, Steve Lacey, and Kathy Mathews; and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Lacey; and siblings, Margaret Lacey and Carol Bickley.

A visitation will be held at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029, on Sunday, January 26 from 12:00 to 3:00pm where a funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27 at 10:00am with a reception to follow. Contributions may be made to the National MS Society or to Johns Hopkins Medicine Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery.
