Mary Beth Heine

Mary Beth Heine, beloved daughter, sister, wife, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 25th, 2026.

A consummate caregiver, Mary dedicated over four decades of her life to the nursing profession. After retiring, she was instrumental in the healthcare of her mother, her father, and her wife.

A patron of the arts, Mary loved music, theater, and dance. A steward of nature, Mary enjoyed many outdoor activities such as walking in the woods and gardening. Mary was also an animal lover, and animals often seemed drawn to her gentle presence. Every person, plant, and animal she encountered flourished under Mary’s loving care.

Mary leaves a legacy of family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers whose lives are far better from having known her. She blessed our lives with her kindness and love, and she helped us foster new friendships with one another. Mary will be greatly missed by all whose lives she enriched.

A private celebration of Mary’s life will be held in the spring.
