We are all better to have known you, Mom. Margaret Jo Mason, 78, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 30, 2024, at her home in Woodbridge, VA, where she had been cared for by her children and the invaluable help of Colleen Carberry and Ana Brown of Capital Caring Hospice. She left this world surrounded by so much love from her family and friends that made regular visits and with her daughter, Denise, and her son, Robbie by her side.
Margaret was born on February 23, 1946, in Washington, DC, daughter of the late Samuel A. Moss, Jr. and Katherine B. (Snider) Moss Bragg
Margaret grew up in Wheaton, MD where she graduated from Albert Einstein High School. Later in life she went on to get her cosmetology license.
Whether she was working, cleaning, running about with her children or friends or just helping a neighbor, Margaret was always on the go. She loved the beach, spending time with her fur babies and was always up for a trip to the casino to play the slot machines with her friends. A few years back she made her first and only trip abroad where she was able to visit the Mediterranean coast and explore yet more beaches.
Margaret was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all that had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Carl R. Moss. She is survived by her daughter, Denise Baker (Craig) of Olney, MD; her son Robbie Mason of Woodbridge, VA; her grandchildren: Lauren Baker and Tate Baker; her fur babies: Bonnie and Ziggy, and numerous extended family members and friends whom she all considered family.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at the Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM.
