Maeve Katherine Sturtevant

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our precious Maeve.  Maeve Katherine Sturtevant passed away on March 13, 2021, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, after fighting chronic heart failure for all of her 21 years.  Maeve was born on August 2, 1999, in Columbia, Maryland and lived in western Howard County her entire life.

Although Maeve had Williams Syndrome which caused her cardiac issues, her heart was the most special part about her.  Maeve’s heart was warm and caring, loving and accepting to everyone she met.  Her infectious spirit and contagious smile provided a beacon of light to everyone she encountered.

Maeve graduated from Glenelg High School in 2018.  After high school, she attended a continuing education program at Howard Community College.  Maeve enjoyed working and volunteering at many different places within her community including St. Louis Church.

Maeve loved people and was at her happiest with any opportunity to get together with friends and family.  She always had a smile for everyone and a million questions about how they were doing, what their plans were, and of course what they were going to eat that day.  She loved music, dancing, food, dogs, and traveling.  Most of all she loved her two younger brothers.

Maeve is survived by her parents, Mary and Mike, brothers Matthew and Michael, grandmother Anne Kearns, and countless friends and family.

A visitation will be held at the Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A. 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, Md 21029 on Wednesday, March 17th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St Louis, Catholic Church, 12500 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville Md on Thursday, March 18th at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at St Louis Cemetery.
