Larry Davis

Larry Davis was born in Wilmington, DE on December 27, 1946, to Harry and Bessie Davis, and passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026. Larry was outgoing, fun-loving, and exceptionally kind. Larry's positive outlook, his constant smile, and his jovial laugh lifted the spirits of those around him. Larry had a curious and adventurous spirit, always wanting to visit new places (especially the mountains to ski!), meet new people, and learn about everyone he met-who they were, where they were from, and what they did. He could (and would!) talk to anyone-friend or stranger, the same or different. 

He recognized the world is a difficult place, and he believed in bridging the divide whenever he could. But Larry was also a fighter. He fought endlessly for life's most important elements, including his family, his health, love, peace, and his faith. His love for his family knew no bounds, the center of which were his wife of 56 years, Barbara, his two sons Josh and Seth, daughter-in-law Kathy, his niece and nephew-in-law Lynda and Adam, and his two beloved grandchildren Leo and Siena (both of whom he adored as only a Pop-Pop could!), who all survive him.

Over the course of his life, Larry always enthusiastically supported his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends, showing up for them at every turn, and in any way he could, with an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, or with advice and encouragement. His children and grandchildren were the pride of his life-he always made them feel heard, special, and loved. Larry's precious legacy endures not just in his family, but also in the lasting impact he had on many others in his community. His absence leaves an irreplaceable void, and he is deeply missed. May his soul rest in eternal peace (as he continues to look for his wallet and keys.)
