Killian Joseph Hartson

June 16, 1991 — May 19, 2023

New Windsor, Maryland

On Friday, May 19, 2023, Killian Joseph Hartson, 31, passed away after a three-year battle with cancer. He was born on Father's Day, June 16, 1991, to Robert Joseph Hartson and Sabine Wilson.

Killian is survived by his parents, sister, Delaney Hartson, the love of his life, Emily Scheck, his uncle and aunt, Godparents Jean Marc Wilson and Janette Wilson, special family friend Michel Canet, his uncle Stephane Wilson, many cherished friends, cousins and second cousins.

Killian grew up in Clarksville and attended Clarksville Elementary, Lime Kiln Middle and River Hill High School. He obtained his AA degree in Construction Management at Howard Community College and pursued his BS at University of Maryland. As a commercial construction and property manager, Killian managed many properties throughout the Howard and Montgomery County area.

Killian and Emily recently moved to New Windsor where they tended a 10-acre farmette which included a dozen egg-laying hens. It was with great pleasure that Killian and Emily gave away hundreds of eggs to family and friends.

Killian was an avid fisherman and enjoyed outdoor activities, especially hiking and skiing. He was always busy with a project whether it was taking a car apart and putting it back together, fixing the batteries of an electric car, programming a drone or tending to his vegetable plants and flowers. Fast cars, boats, and jet skis were his preferred modes of transportation on earth. We pray that his wings will afford him the same joy in Heaven.

Killian loved being surrounded by his family and friends. Everyone who knew him would say that he had the best sense of humor. He was always making people laugh and was the most kind and considerate person. Killian never turned down his friends when they asked for help. As one of his dear friends wrote, “…you stood by my side, offering unwavering support and unconditional love. Your ability to listen without judgment, to offer wise counsel, and to lift my spirits during challenging times was truly extraordinary. You taught me the true meaning of friendship.”

Killian was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Lowell and Jeanne Wilson, and Marvin and Pat Hartson. As promised, he was escorted by our Lord Jesus Christ to Heaven where the loving arms of God and his grandparents awaited him.
