Kevin Schwartz, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and craftsmanship. Kevin’s life was marked by his unwavering devotion to his family and his passion for the many activities that filled his days with joy and purpose.
Kevin found his professional calling in the world of high-end furniture. Over the course of a long and successful career, he became known for his keen eye for detail and an uncompromising commitment to quality.
Kevin was also a gifted woodworker, combining his talent, creativity, and generosity to create beautiful, handcrafted pieces. His works, always gifted to friends and family, were a testament to his skill and his desire to bring joy to others through his craft. He found great fulfillment from creating beautiful, handcrafted wooden boxes for the 'Beads of Courage' organization, which is devoted to providing comfort to children battling cancer.
Kevin was an avid golfer and fisherman, spending countless hours on the greens and by the water, where he found peace and contentment. He was known for his infectious enthusiasm and for inspiring others to share in his passions.
Kevin’s greatest joy, however, was his family. He was a devoted father who always prioritized his children, offering them guidance, support, and unconditional love. As a grandfather, he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, passing down his wisdom, stories, and skills.
Kevin Schwartz will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, in the beautiful pieces he created, and in the countless lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and passion for life.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marcie; his children, Kellie and Kevin Jr.; and his grandchildren, Conor, Murphie, Genevieve, and Keegan.
Relatives and friends are welcome to celebrate Kevin at the family's home following services at St. Francis of Assisi, Fulton, MD on Thursday, August 22 at 11AM.
