Jorge Luis Venero

With profound sorrow and steadfast faith in God's eternal promise, we announce the passing of Jorge Luis Venero Espinal, who entered eternal rest on December 28th, 2025, in Laurel, Maryland, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Lima, Peru, Jorge, together with his wife Gladys, made the courageous decision to immigrate to the United States, sacrificing everything he knew in order to provide his daughters the opportunity to achieve the American Dream. His life was a powerful testament to faith, perseverance, and unwavering loyalty-to God, to his family, and to the values he always upheld.

Jorge is survived by his beloved wife, Gladys Shimabukuro; his cherished daughters, Stephany, Sophia, and Denise; his adored grandchildren, Kai Cadenas and Stella Ta; as well as his siblings and extended family. His greatest pride and joy was always his family, for whom he worked tirelessly and whom he loved unconditionally.

He leaves behind a powerful legacy in the lives of his three professional daughters-a Dietitian, a Doctor of Physical Therapy, and a Family Medicine Physician-whose accomplishments reflect his lifelong sacrifice, dedication, and unconditional love. His values of hard work, responsibility, and perseverance continue to shine through all they do.

Jorge was known for his loyalty, commitment, kindness, and infectious laughter. He had a special gift-he brought light and happiness into every room the moment he walked in. His warmth, sense of humor, and joyful spirit touched the hearts of all who knew him.

Jorge embraced life fully. He loved to dance, play soccer, and watch matches with great passion—especially cheering for Alianza Lima and the Peruvian National team. He also found peace and fulfillment working on his car, caring for it with pride and dedication.

His faith guided every step of his journey and sustained him through life’s most difficult moments. He lived by example, teaching his daughters the values of hard work, humility, loyalty, and love. Though our hearts are filled with sorrow, we find comfort knowing that he now rests in the presence of the Lord, having heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:23)

Visitation will be held at Donaldson Funeral Home, in Clarksville, Maryland, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026. Additional service details will be shared with family and friends.

Although he is no longer with us physically, Jorge’s love, laughter, and legacy will live on forever in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
