John Clarence Wetzel

On Thursday, June 3, 2021, John Wetzel, beloved father, husband, son, brother and friend, passed on to rest in peace after a valiant fight against cancer. His fight to the end showed how much he loved life, family and friends.  As an attorney, John will be remembered for his attention to detail and ability to explain the most complex concepts and make them understandable.  More importantly, John will be remembered by family and friends for his love, his uncanny sense of humor and his ability to always make people smile and laugh.  He leaves a legacy of strength, determination, dedication and compassion.

John will remain with family and friends in spirit, especially with his twin children, Reese and Carly Wetzel, his wife, Tracey Skinner, his mother, Marion Wetzel, his brother, Steve Wetzel, and his sisters-in-law, Diane Skinner and Tina St. Angelo Wetzel, supporting all of us in carrying on.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of John may be made to Gilchrist Center Howard County, Immunotherapy Research at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center or to the Radiation Oncology Proton Gift Fund, benefitting the Maryland Proton Treatment Center affiliated with the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center.
