On November 23, 2024, John Patrick Connors, 77, of Clarksville passed away unexpectedly at home.
He was born March 8, 1947 to John and Grace Connors in Drexel Hill, PA.
He graduated in 1970 from Drexel University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and later received his Masters from Johns Hopkins University in Space Technology while working at the Naval Surface Warfare Center. In that job, he was also an inventor on two patents. Then, after working for a time for the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Library of Medicine, he landed at the Administrative Office of the US Courts, from which he retired in 2007.
John was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church for over 40 years.
He enjoyed watching movies and television, playing Assassin's Creed, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by wife Ava Connors, with whom he recently celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary, son Brian (Karin) Connors of Gaithersburg, daughter Jennifer (Keith) Simmons of Elkridge, brother Robert (Claire) Connors of Burtonsville, and nephew Neil (Theresa) Connors of Fairfax.
He had three grandchildren Elizabeth, Saoirse, and Benjamin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial service will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church in Clarksville, MD.
