Joan A. Henry

Joan Arnaiz Henry of Silver Spring, Maryland peacefully passed away in her sleep on Sunday, June 16, 2019. She died of natural causes at the age of 87.

A native New Yorker from the Bronx, Joan transplanted to Maryland in 1954 with her husband Jack Henry, where they raised their three daughters Denise H. Johns, Patricia Daury and Joanmarie Houghton.  Joan leaves behind a large, loving family and her legacy of eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren who were devoted to her.

Family and friends can gather together at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, Clarksville, Md., 21029, on Saturday June 22nd from 11:30am-12:30pm and then join in a Celebration of Life and Repass at 12:30pm to celebrate her life and share their favorite stories and memories of this remarkable woman. A private burial will be held at a later date. Though Joan loved flowers, a memorial contribution may also be made in her name to a charity of your choice.
