Jesus Gilberto Acosta Rodriguez, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2024, in Rockville, MD. He was born on December 24, 1956, in Aguascalientes, Mexico, to Agustin Aaron Acosta Romo and Celia Rodriguez Davila. He was a proud twin, sharing a special bond with his brother, Jesus Gabriel, and was also cherished by his two other brothers, Agustin and Carlos.

Jesus faced profound loss early in life, losing his mother at the tender age of 7 and his father at 17. He was lovingly raised by his aunts, Aurora and Carmen. Aurora was a second Mother for him. Driven by determination, he graduated from the Tecnologico of Chihuahua in 1980 with a degree in chemical engineering. Following graduation, he relocated to Monclova, Coahuila, where he devoted himself to his career.

In December 1980, Jesus met the love of his life, Rosa Clara Quintana Sanchez. They married on July 10, 1982, and together they raised three wonderful children: Jesus Gilberto, Clara Rosa, and Rosa Clara. The family spent 15 joyful years in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, before moving to the United States, where Jesus retired six years ago to care for his grandchildren. Michael, Maria, Isabella, Bridget, William, Betito, Matthew, and Jesus, are now his eight beloved grandchildren.

In October 2018, Jesus faced a challenging diagnosis of stage 4 esophageal cancer, with doctors estimating only six months to live. Yet he defied the odds with remarkable strength, courage, and grace, inspiring all who knew him. His unwavering faith in the Virgin Mary, along with the support of his wife and family, provided him with the belief that he was living an extraordinary life despite his illness.

Jesus found his greatest happiness in his family. He was a proud dad and grandfather, often joking and laughing with his grandchildren, who were the center of his universe. He loved spending quality time with his loved ones, enjoying family vacations, and cherished moments outdoors, appreciating nature as a gift from God. An avid fútbol fan, his passion for sports and novellas brought joy to his life. He was also known for being the best listener and a steadfast friend.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25th at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P. A., located at 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029 from 5 PM to 9 PM . A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, September 26th at St. Louis Catholic Church, 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029 at 11 AM, with a reception to follow

Jesus will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Jesus Gilberto Acosta Rodríguez, amado esposo, padre, abuelo y amigo, falleció pacíficamente el 14 de Septiembre del 2024 en Rockville, MD. Nació el 24 de Diciembre del 1956 en Aguascalientes, México, hijo de Agustín Aarón Acosta Romo y Celia Rodríguez Dávila. Era un orgulloso gemelo, compartiendo un vínculo especial con su hermano, Jesus Gabriel, y también era muy querido por sus otros dos hermanos, Agustín y Carlos Manuel.

Jesus Gilberto enfrentó una pérdida profunda desde joven, perdiendo a su madre a la tierna edad de 7 años y a su padre a los 17. Fue criado con cariño por sus tías, Aurora y Carmen. Aurora fue una segunda madre para él. Impulsado por su determinación, se graduó del Tecnológico de Chihuahua en 1980 con un título en Ingeniería Química. Después de graduarse, se trasladó a Monclova, Coahuila, para ejercer su carrera.

En Diciembre de 1980, Jesús Gilberto conoció al amor de su vida, Rosa Clara Quintana Sánchez. Se casaron el 10 de Julio de 1982 y del fruto de su amor nacieron tres maravillosos hijos: Jesús Gilberto, Clara Rosa y Rosa Clara. Vivieron en Monclova y otros 15 años en Monterrey, NL, antes de mudarse a los Estados Unidos, donde Jesus Gilberto se retiró desde hace algunos años en su etapa de abuelo. Michael, Maria, Isabella, Bridget, William, Betito, Matthew y Jesus son ahora sus ocho queridos nietos.

En el 2018, Jesus Gilberto enfrentó un diagnóstico desafiante de cáncer en etapa 4 y los médicos estimando solo 6 meses de vida. Sin embargo, el desafió las probabilidades con una fuerza, valentía y gracia notables, inspirando a todos los que lo conocían. Su fe inquebrantable en la Virgen María, junto con el apoyo de su esposa y su familia, le permitio vivir una vida con calidad y extraordinaria a pesar de su enfermedad.

Jesús Gilberto encontró su mayor felicidad en su familia. Era un orgulloso padre y abuelo, a menudo bromeando y riendo con sus nietos, quienes eran el centro de su universo. Le encantaba pasar tiempo de calidad con sus seres queridos, disfrutando de vacaciones familiares y momentos preciados al aire libre, apreciando la naturaleza como un regalo de Dios. Aficionado al fútbol, su pasión por los deportes, series y peliculas alegraban su vida. También era conocido por ser el mejor en escuchar a los demás y un amigo leal. Siempre decía la palabra "ánimo" para motivar a quienes lo rodeaban, brindando apoyo y alegría en cada situación.

Su velorio sera el Miércoles 25 de Septiembre en Donaldson Funeral Home en Clarksville, P.A. Esta ubicado en 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029. La misa tendrá lugar el Jueves 26 de Septiembre en St. Louis Catholic Church, 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029 a las 11 AM, seguida seguida de la sepultura y la recepción.
