Hilda Frieda Youngblood

Hilda Frieda Youngblood, age 98, passed away at her residence in Highland Maryland, on 30 June 2025. Hilda was born on 31 August 1926, the daughter of Max and Sadie Schnier.

Hilda graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor’s degree and in 1950, she started her career at the Department of Defense.  She worked for 46 years until her retirement on 1 January 1996.

Hilda was a member of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Highland, Maryland.

She is survived by eldest son Mark Youngblood, Daughter Pamela Farfaras, youngest son Steven Youngblood, and  Granddaughter, Christina Farfaras.  Hilda was predeceased by sisters Marion, Helen, Rita Mae, and former husband, Leland Youngblood.

Services will be held at the Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A. located at 12540 Clarksville Pike, Route 108, Clarksville, Maryland 21029, on Monday, 7 July at 10:00 am starting with visitation, followed by a service at 11:00 am.

Interment will immediately follow at Crestlawn Cemetery located at 2150 Mt. View Road, Marriottsville, MD. 21104.
