Henry Charles Kramer

October 13, 1944 — August 5, 2025

Woodbine, Maryland

Henry Charles Kramer passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, after a brief but valiant battle, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on October 13, 1944, in Baltimore, Maryland. That snowy Friday the 13th turned out to be a lucky day for Henry—and for the world. Despite an inauspicious start when the doctor accidentally dropped him at birth, Henry grew into a man who embodied resilience, humor, and joy.

Henry was the beloved son of Raymond and Rose Kramer, and the younger brother of William, all of whom predeceased him. On September 9, 1967, Henry married the love of his life, Jane. Together, they welcomed their son, Stephen John and built a family. A proud member of the National Guard, Henry balanced duty, full-time work, and family life while putting himself through college. He went on to build a successful career as a respected Human Resources executive, admired for his fairness and integrity. His drive and determination extended far beyond his career—Henry was a lifelong learner whose curiosity, kindness, and warmth drew people to him everywhere he went.

He was an avid golfer, a dedicated bowler, and a passionate traveler. After retiring, Henry and Jane devoted their time to family and friends, community service, and adventures near and far.

Henry is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 58 years, Jane; his son Stephen and daughter-in-law Franzi; his nephew Rick and three great-nephews. He also leaves behind treasured friends who became family, Kate and Tim Brown and their children, Kara and Ryan, who became adored grandchildren to Henry and Jane. He will also be deeply missed by countless friends from all stages of his life, especially his golfing and bowling buddies. At home, his cherished pup, Carlton, will remain by Jane’s side, bringing her comfort, while awaiting him joyfully at the Rainbow Bridge are Henry’s beloved dogs, Sunshine and Winston.

Henry’s life left a big mark on this world. Kind and generous, with a smile that lit up every room, he was the life of the party and the kind of man who just made you feel better about yourself. The world will just be a little less bright without Henry’s generous spirit beside us.

Jane will host a celebration of Henry’s life near his birthday in October.
