Francis Thomas Kearns

On February 6, 2024, Frank Kearns, 57, of Brookeville, MD passed away after a lengthy illness. He was born February 23, 1966 to Thomas Leo Kearns and Anne Frances Kearns in Silver Spring, MD.  Frank had a successful career as a CPA, most recently at AES corporation in Northern Virginia prior to his illness.

Frank’s true passion was theater.  He was a gifted actor and director and was extremely involved in theater throughout his entire life.  He was very active in community theater when he lived in Texas as well as Reston, Virginia and formed many friendships there.

He is survived by his mother, Anne Kearns, his sister, Mary Colleen Sturtevant, his brother in law Mike Sturtevant and his sister in law Kim Kearns.  He also leaves behind his nephews, Matthew Joseph Sturtevant and Michael Thomas Sturtevant, as well as his niece Megan Elizabeth Kearns.

Frank was preceded in death by his twin brother, Joseph Paul Kearns, his father, Thomas Leo Kearns and his niece Maeve Katherine Sturtevant.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024, at 11 am at the Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A, 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029. A funeral service will be held at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., and will immediately follow the visitation.
