Edward Anthony Maiolatesi

The family of Edward Anthony Maiolatesi is deeply saddened to announce his passing on June 23, 2026. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Born on October 28, 1942, in Washington, D.C., Ed lived a full and remarkable life. He touched the hearts of everyone he met through his warm personality and witty sense of humor. 

An Air Force veteran, he served in Vietnam from 1968-1969. He was a Federal Government employee, working for the Army Corps of Engineers, the United States Customs Service, Department of Homeland Security and Customs Border Patrol. 

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Santina Maiolatesi, children Edward M. Maiolatesi, Maria Peirce, Barbara Oros, and Anthony Maiolatesi, sons-in-law Lr Peirce and Jason Oros, daughter-in-law Sandra Schwartz, and grandchildren Joshua Peirce, Gavin Oros, Zachary Oros, Jacob Peirce, Giulia Peirce, Gianna Peirce, Nina Oros and Talia Maiolatesi. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Donaldson Funeral Home from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM in Clarksville, Maryland. 

A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at St. Louis Church at 10:00 AM in Clarksville, Maryland. 

A private interment will be at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gilchrist Home Hospice, the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Lung Association in Ed’s memory.
