Donald "Donnie" Granville O'Keefe

Donald Granville O'Keefe "Donnie" passed away at his home in Clarksville, MD on July 22, 2018. Donnie was born on March 23, 1937 in Olney, MD and attended schools in Sandy Spring, Md to include Sherwood High School where he graduated in 1957. He worked for his father in the wholesale produce business and later founded the O'Keefe Nursery in Silver Spring, MD. which he owned with brother Billy. Donnie was involved in farming his entire life, and he actively worked and oversaw operations on the family farm in Clarksville, Md up until his death. Donnie was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and his work ethic and love for the land has been passed on to the next generations of O'Keefe farmers. His death is mourned by his wife of 59 years Sally O'Keefe, as well as two sons, Scott (Cindy), and Eric (Jen), and his 11 grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be posted as soon as the day and time comes available. Interment will be private

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made in Donnie's name to either Howard County 4H Dairy Club, 2980 Woodbine Road, Woodbine, MD, 21797 or the Howard County Farm Bureau, P.O. Box 282, Glenelg, MD 21737.
