Christopher Lawrence Rachuba

Christopher Rachuba, husband of Dina Rachuba and father of CJ Rachuba, Mitchell Rachuba, and Lauren Rachuba passed away in the comforts of his home surrounded by family on October 11th, 2021 after fighting a 5-year battle with multiple myeloma.

Born January 20th, 1967, in Baltimore, he was the son of Lawrence and Diane Rachuba.

Christopher joined the family business as soon as he was old enough to work. He graduated from Mt. St. Joseph High School and Towson University, with a degree in Business. Chris learned all aspects of the real estate business from his father Lawrence Rachuba.

Christopher was involved in many volunteer activities both within the real estate industry and within the local community. His industry involvement includes leadership positions in the Home Builders Association of Maryland, the Maryland Building Industries Association and the Maryland Taskforce for Workforce Housing. His community involvement includes Zaching Against Cancer, Boys Hope/Girls Hope, the National Kidney Foundation, Notre Dame Preparatory School, The RAACE Foundation and the Community Colleges of Baltimore County.

Christopher was a loving and generous man, giving his time-sharing knowledge with his family and friends, always willing to help someone in need. He loved spending time on the weekends with his son CJ and brother Ray, racing cars and coaching others around various racetracks. During the weekdays he would spend countless hours in the work week, mentoring his son Mitchell to continue the legacy of the family's construction company. Christopher's favorite daughter, as he says, Lauren, enjoyed many father-daughter dates, and adventures throughout the years. Christopher also loved visiting his mother Diane DeChiaro Rachuba in Florida, playing skip-bo and going out to delicious restaurants. Christopher also spent 30 years together with his wife Dina playing tennis, cooking, skiing, and spending time with family and friends together.

Christopher is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Dina Rachuba; his children, CJ Rachuba, Mitchell Rachuba, and Lauren Rachuba, his Mother Diane Rachuba, sisters Kim Williams, and Theresa Leatherbury, his brother Ray Rachuba, many nieces and nephews, and his dog Enzo.

All who loved and knew Christopher are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at St Louis Parish, 12500 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, Maryland 21029 which will be held on  Friday, October 15 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Private.
