CHRISTINE ANNE MARINO MCKEEVER

7/21/53 – 12/21/23

On Thursday December 21, 2023 Christine Anne Marino McKeever, 70, passed away at Stella Maris Long Term Care, Towson, Maryland after a long battle with ALS.  Born in Troy, New York, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Theresa Marino and wife of Thomas McKeever.

Christine was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the College of New Rochelle and Doctor of Medicine degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine. Christine completed her Residency in Family Practice at the University of Maryland. She was an extraordinarily gifted physician who rightly became Chief Resident of Family Medicine at SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine. Her career in medicine was exemplary and recognized by her professional colleagues who described her compassion for and care of her patients as setting the standard for them to follow. Her accomplishments included being a Diplomate for the American Board of Family Practice and former President of the Maryland Academy of Family Physicians. Chris retired from John Hopkins Community Physicians. From 2010 - 2017, Chris volunteered weekly, at the Rt. 1 Free Medical Clinic in Jessup. There she provided free medical care to the homeless and indigent of Howard County. She was highly respected and loved by those she cared for at the clinic.

Chris enjoyed spending time with her family by hosting a 4th of July gathering at her home and inviting brothers, sisters, parents, nieces, nephews to fun weeks at their Wildwood, NJ home. She had a great love for baseball especially following the New York Yankees, and enjoyed other sports including skiing in the Rockies. In addition, she loved reading, participating in book clubs and following her Christian faith. She enjoyed discovering Christ and other activities at St. Louis Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband Tom McKeever, brothers, Vincent Marino III, Boulder, CO, Michael (Mary) Marino, Long Island, NY, and Gerry (Patricia) Marino, Moultonborough, NH, sister, Maria (William) Nering, Stevenson Ranch, CA as well as many nieces and nephews.  Chris was preceded in death by her parents Vincent and Theresa Marino.

Relatives and friends may call at Donaldson Funeral Home, 12540 Clarksville Pile, Clarksville, Maryland on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.   Mass of the Christian Burial will be at St. Louis Catholic Church on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 10:00AM, with internment immediately thereafter at the St. Louis Cemetery.
